The situation of red date and trace elements application in Aksu area

Aksu area is the main cultivation areas of red jujube in Tarim Basin. However, the people here apply a unscientific fertilization policy that more phosphatic fertilizer and on micro fertilizer,such as zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, ferrous sulfate and other trace elements. It leads to low fertilizer utilization rate and more physical diseases.

The trace elements situation of Aksu area soil:

1, Soil PH value are all above 7.8 and effective zinc content keeps low.

2, Manganese content maintains very low and the mount of lack manganese soil accounts for 50%

3,The content of ferrous is basically suitable. Due to the reasons of high PH value and heavy salt, date trees have difficulties in absorption.

Suggestions: On one hand, take crop rotation, increase organic fertilizer and other measures when planting, on the other hand, increase the amount of trace elements fertilizer such as zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate. All are done to ensure the red jujube market advantages both on yield and quality in Aksu area.
