Zinc sulfate (ZnSO4) is a colorless, odorless, water-soluble compound used to treat trees growing in soil lacking in the nutrient zinc. Recovered during the refining process of zinc ore, the compound is applied as a powder around the base of trees or dissolved in water and sprayed on orchard stock.
